UnityUK                                        UnityUK

UnityUK - The Combined Regions next generation resource sharing and interlibrary loan service was launched in April 2006. Unity UK will, for the first time, deliver a national network for resource sharing for the UK as it brings together the Union catalogues of The Combined Regions and LinkUK.

The new service uses the latest resource sharing technology from OCLC/PICA (incorporating FDI) who also host and manage the new service. UnityUK offers real-time availability checking through live links to OPACs.

Member organisations of Libraries and Information East Midlands are encouraged to contribute their holdings data to UnityUK. Please contact the for details of how to do this.

Members are also entitled to a reduced-rate UnityUK subscription. The Regional Secretariat provides a free locations checking service for member organisations who make infrequent use of interlending, and who would be unable to justify the cost of a licence.

Regional user groups have been established across the country. The most recent East Midlands & East of England User Group meeting was held on Friday 15th May in Nottinghamshire Archives. Ann Charlton's presentation can be seen in the Members' area , accessed via UnityUK's home page
